Oops! You're not on the site you tried to go to, are you?

That's because they've banned you and shunted you over here!

So, how did this happen? Well, there are any number of reasons it might have. Your IP address may have been blacklisted by a site or group of sites belonging to members of Team Banhammer (that's us) because of spambot or hacker activity, or your computer may be infected with malware that has you spamming sites (ours included) without even knowing it. You might have landed on a page that attempted to draw content from a member site that has forbidden bandwidth-theft, and got knocked off the original page by the second site's redirect. You might be trying to visit a page that used to exist on the site, but they moved or deleted it, and they got sick of you asking for it over and over and over and over and over and over. Or you might be a nasty, nasty little 'bot who doesn't obey robots.txt files. The member or members of Team Banhammer whose sites you've been accidentally or intentionally harassing got sick of seeing you in their error logs and decided to shunt you off here, where you can't do any harm to anything.

Chances are, you had this coming. But occasionally innocent people just happen to get assigned a spambot's IP a few days after it's been blacklisted, so if you think this is wrong or unfair or something, feel free to contact us at our Gmail address. We're "thecrewbannedyou" there, and no, we're not writing it out in any way that a bot can parse here, sorry. If you can't put together our email address from those two bits of information, you're either a spambot, or profoundly stupid, or a profoundly stupid spambot. Write to us, tell us your IP address, the site you were attempting to reach, and the approximate date/time you attempted to go there (GMT is best) and we'll look up the problem and find out why you got booted over here. We might even let you back in. After all, it might really not be your fault that the last person to use your IP address was shady.
